Ralf Kunzmann

Board Member

Ralf has more than 25 years of experience in private equity, venture capital and M&A.

Before joining Erste Private Capital, he was managing director of aws Fondsmanagement for nine years. Previously he was a member of the management team of the international private equity activities of the UniCredit Bank Austria Group and held operational management functions as managing director and CFO at portfolio companies in the Czech Republic and Germany. Before that, he held a managerial position at KPMG Austria Financial Advisory Services with a focus on corporate finance and M&A.

Ralf studied business administration in Germany and is a lecturer and author of numerous publications in the field of M&A.

Thomas Bobek

Board Member

Thomas has more than 25 years of international experience in the financial industry. He worked with banks in Prague and New York as well as investment firms in London, Vienna and Zürich in senior roles.

During his 15 years at Erste Asset Management, Thomas held various management positions. In recent years, he built up the private equity investment department and established Erste Private Capital together with Ralf and Werner.

Thomas holds a degree in international business at the University of Vienna, completed the private equity programme at the University of Oxford and is a CFA Institute charter holder.

Werner Edlinger

Board Member

Werner has been active in the VC/PE industry since 1995 and can look back on numerous international technology investments and SME financing projects.

Werner has managed TAUROS Capital in recent years. Before that, he was a co-founder and business angel and has successfully managed investment companies as a board member and managing director. He was co-founder of AVCO and is one of the pioneers of venture capital and private equity in Austria.

He has a degree in business administration from the Vienna University of Economics and Business and is a certified management consultant.

Patrik Cesky

Senior Investment Manager

Patrik has more than 11 years of experience as an investment manager and in corporate management.

Recently, he served as Managing Director of the biotechnology company Eucodis Bioscience, where he planned and implemented a successful restructuring process. As Senior Investment Manager at Arax Capital Partners, he made investments in numerous biotech and high-tech companies, actively supporting their management and providing strategic input as an advisor. He played a key role in the preparation and implementation of a number of exits through company sales and IPOs.

Patrik holds a Master's degree in Financial Management and a Bachelor's degree in Corporate Governance & E-Business Management.
